Watch a movie while knitting, but not on the couch. At the Rossini Cinema in Venice, movie popcorn is being replaced with balls of wool, offering a creative and super-relaxing event where audiences can knit or crochet. On Sunday, April 19th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Rossini, Cinema & Gomitoli arrives, the first event in Venice for lovers of cinema, knitting, and crochet. The program features the film Hamnet – In the Name of the Son by Chloé Zhao, which can be watched while knitting or crocheting. The event is a collaboration between Circuito Cinema Venezia and the Un Gomitolo a Venezia association.

The screening is open to everyone: yarn enthusiasts, those curious enough to try knitting, and those who simply want to watch the film. The screening will be dimmed to allow those who bring their knitting supplies to knit while the film unfolds on the screen. It will be an opportunity to meet, create, and experience cinema in a new way, in a creative and shared atmosphere. Bring your knitting supplies if you’d like, or it will be a chance to just hang out. Single ticket: €5
