New month, new rules in Venice!
May has just arrived and with that, together with a lovely sun and a fresh breeze, we have new, lighter rules concerning covid-19 in Venice and in Italy. May it be the start for a new and simpler life!
From May 1st onward, it will be no longer requested to show a vaccination pass to enter restaurants, hotels, museums, theatres etc. Besides, wearing FFP2 masks will still be required on all public transportation, museums, theatres, cinemas, schools, hospitals and residences for the elderly.
Wearing a mask is still recommended in shops and all indoor spaces which are open to the public, but it's not compulsory.
A travel pass will still be required to enter Italy, but not necessarily issued out of a vaccination. A negative test will do.
