Access fee to Venice - instructions for use

The access fee to Venice is now active and Venice municipality issued the instructions.

The fee will be applied on the following days:

April 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 2024;

May 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 18, 19, 25, 26, 2024;

June 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30, 2024

July 6, 7, 13, 14, 2024.

The contribution is not due from 4.00 pm to 8.30 am.

Important: the fee is not applied to:

guests of holiday apartments/hotels/b&b who already pay tourist tax, residents and their relatives, people who visit a resident, people who work and/or study in Venice, soldiers, policemen and fire workers, participants to a school trip, people coming to Venice to attend a sport event or for healthcare.

Also important: even if you're not subject to the fee, you still have to register your presence on the above days and download a QR code which proves that you're exempt from this tax.

How to do that? Venice Municipality made up a dedicated website where you can register your presence in Venice and declare that you're exempt: https://cda.ve.it/en/
