Happy New Year! January is one of the best times of the year to visit Venice. January? In Winter? Cold weather? Closed restaurants? Yes, but there are some undoubted advantages: the town is peaceful, the daylight is stunning, clear and bright, the chilly weather outside is actually energizing and it makes a stay at a Venetian home even more delightful.
Besides, not everything is closed and it’s also a nice chance to visit some unusual sites that usually go unnoticed. For instance, did you know that there’s a Toy museum in Venice? It’s a private vintage collection, located in campo San Stin. Also, at the beautiful cloister at San Francesco della Vigna, a special exhibition of vintage holy cards is on until the 25th January.
When you think at La Fenice theater, most people think about the opera, but there’s also a very interesting chamber music season, offered by Musikamera association. Check the program in the picture below! The next concert is on the 30th and 31st January, at the beautiful Sale Apollinee at the Fenice Theater, with music by Mendelssohn and Sostakovic.
Last but not least, January is a low season month! Take advantage of the discounted rates, get in touch with us at Luxrest Venice and book your January stay in Venice!
